How protection works
BestFarewell combines encryption, scoped access, and privacy-first data practices across KinWell, Mantle, and Harbor.
Connections and uploaded files are protected in transit with TLS. Data on our primary infrastructure is protected with AES-256 encryption at rest.
For normal signed-in access, role-based permissions and database row-level security evaluate account, family, and organization relationships at the data boundary.
We do not use customer content to train our own models. When you choose an AI-powered feature, the content needed for that request may be processed by a disclosed service provider.

Readiness work is underway as we prepare for a SOC 2 Type II examination. No examination report has been issued, and we do not describe BestFarewell as SOC 2 certified.
